The Oregon Flock & Fiber Festival
Event Marketing
I volunteered as the Marketing Chair for this annual event that showcases wool growing and related textile arts like knitting and weaving. The festival draws upwards of 15,000 visitors, bringing farmers, vendors, and creators together to network and share knowledge about their craft.
I launched a festival Instagram account, and helped manage social media channels to promote the event and engage with the fiber arts community year-round. Placing ads in industry publications helped to reach a more targeted audience of vendors and patrons.
To increase workshop registration, I helped set up the first online booking system for classes, and oversaw the rollout.
Social media engagement and festival attendance have increased as a result of a bolstered social media presence and improved website functionality.
I refreshed the festival logo, creating a celebratory handmade mark that centers a black diamond – the established icon of the event. Custom variations of the logo are created for each year’s theme, and applied to a limited run of merchandise.
